Becky Boulton has worked in the GPSA since October 1997. She has lived in Las Vegas most of her life and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from UNLV. Ms. Boulton is responsible for overseeing the graduate/professional student study facility located in the Lied Library, a place that many graduate and professional students call home on campus. Becky supervises graduate student activity and works in collaboration with the GPSA Council and Executive Board. She organizes and assists in the GPSA’s monthly meetings in which representatives from 49 departments join to address issues critical to the graduate/professional experience. Ms. Boulton further oversees the GPSA Grants Program, which is the largest supporter of graduate/professional student research and conference travel. This year the GPSA will process and award over 200 grants.
Becky also organizes graduate and professional student events, the largest of which is the annual Graduate & Professional Student Research Forum which is a showcase for graduate/professional student research achievement. In order to achieve greater campus exposure of the GPSA and to facilitate a collective voice for critical issues that affect graduate & professional students, Becky continues her campus committee involvement, and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to enhance the daily operations of the GPSA.
