Carole Hoefle, a native of Illinois, began her career at UNLV in 1989 as a Management Assistant in the Office of the Provost working for three years before being promoted to Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate College. Based upon her service to graduate students and faculty, Ms. Hoefle received the President's Classified Employee of the Year Award and the Board of Regents Outstanding Classified Employee Award in 1999. In 2002 Ms. Hoefle was named Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate College.
Her current major responsibilities include: (1) Managing the Graduate Assistantship Program for more than 700 Graduate Assistants, (2) Managing the Graduate College operating budget, (3) Providing administrative coordination and support for specific university-wide academic projects led by the Senior Vice Provost, and (4) Service on various university committees including the UNLV Commencement Committee, the Student Health Insurance Committee and the Student Appeals Committee. Ms. Hoefle has also been invited to attend the Classified Staff Planning and PEW Higher Education Roundtable Retreats.
