Completing your Academic Program

Congratulations. You are approaching the end of your graduate studies, an accomplishment the Graduate College celebrates with you. As you fulfill your final academic requirements, you have come to the right place. The information contained in this section will guide you toward graduation and explain commencement.

It's important to distinguish between graduating and participating in commencement. "Graduating" means fulfilling your academic requirements. You must do this in order to participate in the ceremonial event that is commencement.

  3. Deadlines Review these dates early in the semester in which you anticipate graduating.
  4. Commencement Participate in the ceremonial confirmation of your degree.
