Graduate College Curriculum Committee
The Graduate College Curriculum Committee reviews and recommends approval of graduate-level courses before they are published in the class schedule, Graduate Catalog, or other lists of course offerings. The committee also reviews proposals for all changes to graduate courses, including course deletions. Only proposals for new graduate courses or for graduate course changes that have been approved by both the department and the academic dean and/or college curriculum committee may be submitted to the Graduate College Curriculum Committee (GCCC). Once reviewed and approved by the GCCC, new courses and course changes must be approved by the senior associate dean or dean of the graduate college.
Schedule of Meetings
The Curriculum Committee typically meets once per month on a Wednesday. Upcoming meetings are scheduled on the following date(s):

Time & Place:
The Tuesday, October 19th meeting will be held in the Student Union (SU 208A). The Tuesday, May 10th meeting will be held in LLB 2281. All other meetings are scheduled for 1p.m. in the JA Tiberti Board Room (LLB 3281).
Deadlines for Curriculum Change Forms
Please note the deadlines for submission of curriculum forms below. Though we might be able to approve and create new courses or course changes in the PeopleSoft system after the deadlines below, we cannot guarantee that proposals submitted past these deadlines will be available for the desired semester.

Instructions for submitting new course proposals
- Once you have read all the directions below regarding submission of graduate curriculum forms, the representative from the submitter’s academic college curriculum committee or dean’s office must email the completed and approved documents to GCCC@unlv.edu. Please DO NOT email the forms and documents directly to the committee chair or anyone else; all GCCC and Graduate College parties who need to review your submission do so from the GCCC@unlv.edu email address. Thank you!
- New course proposals and course change proposals must be approved and submitted by your college curriculum committee at least is one week prior to the scheduled meeting dates (listed above) for inclusion on the agenda.
- Materials received by the Graduate College after the deadline for a committee meeting will be reviewed at the subsequent meeting.
- It is necessary for a representative who can speak about each new course to be in attendance at the meeting. In the absence of such an advocate, the new course proposal will be tabled until the next meeting when a representative is present. Submitters of course changes are NOT required to attend the GCCC meeting to address the committee.
- The committee occasionally, and as necessary, conducts electronic review of curriculum proposals.
