Outstanding Thesis And Dissertation Nominations From Each College Is Due By March 14

Attention all Deans, Chairs, Graduate Coordinators, and Faculty:

The deadline to submit nominees for this year's Outstanding Thesis and Outstanding Dissertation awards to the Graduate College will be 5 p.m. on March 14th, 2008.  These awards recognize academic excellence in the completion of an outstanding thesis and dissertation between March 1, 2007 and March 1, 2008. 

As in previous years, each academic college will be allowed to nominate one thesis and one dissertation for consideration.  Each college should submit a nominating letter with their thesis and dissertation submission to Dr. Kate Hausbeck (via Edith Caldwell in fdh #304/305) by 3/14/08.  From this pool of candidates, a single Outstanding Thesis and a single Outstanding Dissertation will be chosen by our Graduate College Student Awards committee.  The winner of the Outstanding Thesis will receive a $200 award; the winner of the Outstanding Dissertation will receive a $1,000 award.
