Save the date: Aug. 18, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Graduate College will be hosting this year's new Graduate Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 18, from 1:00 p.m. till 4:30 p.m., in the Student Union Ballroom.

The orientation will provide graduate students with important information to ease the transition into graduate study at UNLV. Graduate College staff will discuss policies and procedures and address issues and concerns that new graduate students face. A question and answer session will also be offered. among the topics to be addressed are student funding opportunities, graduate assistantship benefits, and graduate student resources.

Graduate students should attend this event in addition to their departmental orientations.

New graduate assistants can now register for the Teaching and Learning Center's "Introduction to Teaching" workshop. The workshop is a two-day event that provides valuable resources for graduate students who will be teaching UNLV courses for the first time.
