After You’re Admitted

You’ve been admitted to the Graduate College! There are a few more items you’ll need to check off your list before arriving for your first graduate-level class. Review each category to ensure that you’ve met the necessary requirements. These resources will provide insights into your upcoming graduate studies experience.

  1. First Step Orientation Session (PDF) Contact the Office of International Students & Scholars to make an appointment to attend a First Step session.
  2. Advising Contact your academic department to learn about advising
  3. Registration Once you’re admitted and immunization requirements are met, it’s time to register on the registration site.
  4. Orientation Get to know your campus and the UNLV family through these programs.
  5. Tuition Payments Estimate your payments or check your current balance.
  6. Become a Graduate Assistant Earn a competitive stipend, plus tuition and fee waivers.
  7. Immunizations Proof of immunizations is required to register. You are also required to purchase UNLV health insurance.
  8. Extracurricular Programs Engage in everything from multicultural programs to student government by visiting the Student Involvement and Activities site.
  9. Housing Explore campus housing options or use the handy off-campus housing locator on the Campus Housing site.
  10. Preparing for Your First Day Here are a few of the main resources we know you’ll need.
  11. Get Connected Get connected with computing support, access, and e-mail on and off campus.
