Beginning in Fall 2007, per Board of Regents policy, first time graduate non-degree-seeking applicants will be required to pay a one-time $30 processing fee.
The online application will require online payment with a credit or debit card. For alternate processing, please contact the Graduate College in FDH #352 or at 702-895-3320.
Please note that non-degree-seeking graduate students are not eligible for federal financial aid. Only graduate students admitted into a degree program are eligible.
Non-degree-seeking graduate students are required to show proof of having earned a bachelor's or higher degree, before your non-degree application can be processed and before you may register. Please submit proof of degree (copy of transcripts, diploma or other documentation) to Karen Maldonado in the Graduate College, FDH #352, or fax to her attention at: 702-895-4180. You will receive e-mail confirmation when you are processed and cleared to register.
All non-degree-seeking students are considered non-Nevada residents unless you have previously established residency or until your residency application has been submitted and approved. Please note that during busy times of year, it can take from 3-6 weeks for residency applications to be fully reviewed.
Non-degree seeking students must have permission of the graduate instructor prior to registering. Many but not all graduate courses are open to non-degree students. Please check with the department for further information.
Please note that admission as a non-degree-seeking graduate student does not guarantee future admission to a graduate program. If, however, you are accepted into a graduate degree program in the future, please note that you may only transfer in a maximum of 15 credits of non-degree graduate courses into your degree program. All of these transfer credits are subject to approval by your degree program graduate coordinator.
